Why choose the Emy probe?
Hello Emilie, can you introduce yourself and explain to us why you started using Emy?
I am a mother of 2 children (2 and a half years apart) and an urban dance teacher, so my sports activity is rather intensive (lots of flooring, pressing and jumping) and my perineum felt it.
After giving birth to my two children, I had no incontinence. However, I felt discomfort in my perineum, and so I wanted to strengthen my pelvic muscles to maintain a certain daily tone. I didn't want to go through physiotherapy sessions, 10 pelvic rehabilitation sessions for the first and 20 for the second. That's why I thought about buying a perineal rehabilitation probe.
How is your perineal rehabilitation going with Emy?

I have been using Emy for 2 months. I find it fun, even if I was afraid it would be monotonous because as I discovered the application first without the probe. I saw that the application only has one game. Today, I use it with the probe and it goes well, it's easy to use and once again, it's super fun. The first time I used it, I did 10 minutes but afterward, I had fun doing several ranges of exercises.
I knew that probes existed but I didn't think about buying one because you always think that it's not necessarily for you. I was like “I’m young and healthy so is this really for me? ".
So I discovered Emy while looking for a application for the perineum ! Basically I chose this probe because they call me Emy and I found it funny. Then, I went to read the reviews, I found that the application was well done and the site in general reassured me.
Have you noticed the effects of the probe on your perineum?
Yes, absolutely! At the beginning, I had a feeling of heaviness in the perineum and it was annoying for dancing. I let a year and a half pass because it’s complicated to make appointments with physiotherapists with the children.
Now the embarrassment I had at the start has vanished. There is surely a psychological effect because by doing training, you feel more serene. I tend to do long sessions so after 2 weeks, I saw that my perineum was already in better health.
The taboo around urinary leakage
Do you think we talk enough about the problem of urinary leakage?
No way ! My 1era perineal rehabilitation was different from the 2th : the first rehabilitation was manual without a probe. As for 2th, it was manual and probe rehabilitation with the physiotherapist (change of physiotherapist in the meantime). I find that we are not at all well informed, it's a bit taboo, we are not talking about perineal rehabilitation. The health professionals didn't talk to me about it at all. After my 1era pregnancy, the health professional told me that it was not necessary to prepare the perineum. It was the sports physiotherapist who warned me and told me that I had to go through the probe to make it work properly.
It's very little known, we make ourselves false ideas on what it is. For example, my mother couldn't talk to me about it since she didn't go through rehabilitation.
I knew what the perineum was but until you have given birth we don’t necessarily realize its importance… It’s once we have given birth that we realize it. It was thanks to my job that I knew what the perineum was for.
Emy, the choice of quality
The women we meet often tell us that Emy is too expensive, what do you think?
Indeed, I think that it represents a certain cost but it is an investment. I put things into perspective because the physiotherapy sessions are long whereas there, we can do our own thing. perineal rehabilitation at home, calmly. The time saving and the quality of the product made me forget the price and what's more, we could pay it in 3 installments. It’s quite intimate so I focused on the price and the product quality rather than choosing another cheaper but lower quality product.
Thank you very much for your answers! One last question: Emy in 3 words?
Fun, effective and essential. All women should have an Emy catheter!
