Ariane, a new mum who is breastfeeding, a general practitioner and yoga teacher (yes, all of that!) agreed to share her experience with the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer. In her testimonial, she reveals how Emy Trainer helped her reclaim her body.
The key takeaways from Ariane’s journey:
- The end of the logistical headache: Living 45 minutes from the nearest clinic, Ariane replaced stressful trips with her baby with effective pelvic floor training at home.
- A medical device, not a gadget: As both a doctor and a patient, she approved of the trainer’s intuitive interface, far more practical than the wired clinic models.
- Reclaiming her privacy: Beyond the pelvic floor, Emy Trainer helped her overcome her postpartum worries so she could calmly reclaim her body.
When did you become aware of the importance of your pelvic floor?
As a pre- and postnatal yoga teacher, I’ve always paid close attention to my pelvic floor health. During and after my pregnancy, I suffered from urine leakage and a feeling of pelvic heaviness.

I should say that my labour was a bit traumatic: 24 hours of labour, more than an hour of pushing, my bladder descending… a true challenge for my pelvic floor!
How did your postpartum recovery sessions go?
At first I tried traditional physiotherapy rehabilitation, but I quickly realised it wasn’t the most suitable solution for me.
Difficult journeys
Where I live, the nearest physio is 45 minutes away by car, which made every session very difficult to organise, especially with my husband coming home late in the evening. And travelling by car with a newborn is not exactly the easiest thing to plan.
I also remember a particularly exhausting day when I had to make that long trip with my baby. The journey was a real obstacle course, and that was when I realised I couldn’t keep going like that. I wanted to train my pelvic floor in a simple and especially comfortable.
A wired device that wasn’t really suited to me
During my training sessions, the physiotherapist used a wired biofeedback device for pelvic floor training, and it didn’t suit me very well. It really wasn’t a pleasant way to do my pelvic floor recovery. Especially with the device cable, which makes movement difficult to perform.
What’s more, after talking to friends, I realised that some physios simply left patients to manage on their own with this wired device. That made me think: why go through all these complicated trips if all you’re doing is using a device on your own ?
These constraints no longer seemed justified. That’s when I decided to look for a more practical alternative, one I could use comfortably at home.

Why did you choose the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer for your pelvic floor training?
It was while talking to a friend that I discovered the connected Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer. She immediately highly recommended this French product, which had helped her put an end to urinary leaks.
What instantly won me over was how easy it is to use and the fact that it doesn’t feel like a gimmick. I’ve always been sceptical of overly tech-heavy devices, but Emy seemed different.
I find this trainer much easier to use compared with some other tools available on the market. It’s small and although it’s connected, it’s very easy to use and its interface remains very intuitive and easy to understand.
What do you think of the Emy Trainer device?
I think it’s a genuine therapeutic tool. As soon as I started using it, I was pleasantly surprised. The app games are well designed and motivating, and you can really see your progress.
Learn more about my pelvic floorWhat’s your routine with Emy Trainer?
I use Emy Trainer 2 to 3 times a week for 10 minutes. After a few weeks, I noticed a clear improvement in my symptoms. The feeling of heaviness has decreased and my leaks are improving progressively.
I still have a few left, but I think I’ll need to increase the frequency of my exercises to get rid of them completely.
So far, I’ve done my training sessions using the mode recommended by the app (the “Guided” mode), but there’s still a second mode (“Advanced”) that I need to try to keep improving and make progress.
In your opinion, what are the strengths of Emy Trainer?
The size of the trainer is perfect, and the packaging is well designed. As for the app, I find it intuitive and comprehensive. It has lots of different games, and being able to track your progress is a real plus.

If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to include a lubricant as standard, as that would make it even more pleasant and comfortable to use.
Reclaiming your body after childbirth
One thing that really touched me was the way the Emy Trainer helped me reclaim my body and my vagina after childbirth. It’s an aspect that’s often overlooked, but it’s so important for new mums!
Many of the women I see in consultations are traumatised by their experience, to the point that they fear having sex even nine months later, for fear of injuring themselves again.
Using a postpartum pelvic floor trainer like the Emy trainer is very helpful in this context, because it encourages you to explore what’s happening in your body, use lubricant to rediscover comfort…

Personally, I’m comfortable with my body, and using the trainer has helped me a lot to reconnect with my pelvic floor and take care of it. Every small win in the exercises gave me a boost, and helped me feel more and more comfortable in my body.
Would you recommend Emy Trainer?
The Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer has helped me better understand my body, overcome my fears and, above all, take care of myself independently, without having to go to a physiotherapist every time.
So yes, today I recommend the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer to my patients and students, whatever their age. It’s a simple, highly effective tool for doing your pelvic floor training.

Urinary leaks : all women are affected
In my practice, I meet many women of all ages dealing with urinary leakage issues, whether they are menopausal, have already given birth, or are even younger, sporty women.
This problem is particularly common among menopausal women, and is one of the genitourinary symptoms linked to this stage of life. Unfortunately, many women do not dare to talk about it or do not realise that it is a problem that can be treated.
Urinary incontinence: a real impact on quality of life
I have seen cases where leaks significantly affect quality of life, such as this woman who told me she wet herself laughing in the street.
Some patients come to see me for recurring yeast infections, without realising that this is due to the daily wearing of panty liners to manage their leaks. And sporty women, especially those who do weight training, are also affected.

Emy Trainer: your pelvic floor ally in the fight against urinary leaks
The Emy Trainer device is ideal for private, discreet training and for helping you better feel your pelvic floor, this group of muscles that is still far too invisible to many women! I am also thinking in particular of all those women who do not dare to seek help or who lack time. Emy Trainer is truly the perfect solution for them.
Before, I systematically referred these patients to a physiotherapist. Today, I am convinced that using the Emy pelvic floor trainer, combined with yoga practice, can be an excellent alternative.
This approach enables women to take charge of their pelvic floor health independently and effectively.
Many thanks to Ariane for agreeing to share her testimony about the Emy trainer and how it helped her reconnect with her body! Find out here about her experience with the Emy Pump hands-free portable breast pump.
What to remember from Ariane’s testimonial
- Autonomy as the driving force behind success: For Ariane, being able to train without the constraints of travel was the deciding factor. It was this freedom that enabled her to complete her pelvic floor training and achieve tangible results on her urinary leaks.
- Therapeutic validation by a healthcare professional: As a GP, she confirms that the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer is a serious biofeedback device. She highlights that the sensor precision and the quality of the medical protocols make it a credible and effective alternative to conventional devices.
- The vital connection between body and mind postpartum: The trainer does more than strengthen the pelvic floor; it acts as a bridge to help women reclaim their bodies.
