One thing is for sure: we weren’t expecting this testimonial! A physiotherapist writes to tell us that she did her pelvic floor recovery with the Emy Trainer device. To top it all off, Fabienne is a pelvic floor recovery specialist! We didn’t need much more to send her a quick message…
The key takeaways from Fabienne’s journey:
- How a weakened pelvic floor feels: Fabienne felt the effects of her two births through urinary leakage and weakness in her pelvic floor.
- Choosing an active device: She chose the Emy Trainer device to choose active muscle training rather than passive stimulation during her pelvic floor training.
- Results seen quickly: After one month of weekly use, she noticed a clear improvement and felt more at ease.
Childbirth and pelvic floor recovery
I had two pregnancies, in 2013 and 2015, and poor pelvic floor recovery. Up to that point, my pelvic floor hadn’t really caused me too many problems apart from a few leaks during bouts of coughing. My first rehabilitation involved blowing into a whistle while contracting my pelvic floor at the same time. Coordination has never been my strong point. So I did my 10 training sessions with a physio who specialised in pelvic floor training. But I wasn’t really convinced.

I had a second complicated birth, with the umbilical cord wrapped twice around my son’s neck. On top of that, I had an episiotomy and a uterine revision. The rehabilitation was rushed through in just two sessions by a midwife. She told me that was enough, and I naively believed her.
Last January, I had a urinary tract infection. A bladder ultrasound showed a slight bladder prolapse. I had to come to terms with the news because I’m only 36. At the same time, I had leaks while running and during fits of laughter with my children.
Choosing the right pelvic floor trainer: Emy Trainer
So I started pelvic floor training with a diagnosis of bladder instability. I completed 4 out of 10 sessions and noticed an improvement. But the problem came back. My physio didn’t have any openings to see me regularly. That’s when I started doing some research online. I came across your Emy pelvic floor trainer Trainer by typing in the keywords: rehabilitation, pelvic floor and device. I am a physiotherapist specialising in pelvic floor training, so I know what’s available on the market.
I hesitated with a competing model, but this one was passive with electrodes. I wanted active training and to feel my muscles contract. The user reviews also ended up convincing me. So I needed Emy Trainer !
Pelvic floor training and Emy Trainer device
I’ve been using Emy Trainer once a week for about a month now. It’s not a lot, but it’s been enough for me to notice that I no longer have any leaks. Most of all, I’ve regained complete confidence in my pelvic floor. I’m very happy with the device and I fully recommend it to my patients. Finally, I’d say it’s very practical and easy to use, apart from inserting the device, which is a bit difficult for me.
So thank you very much, because this has had a positive impact on my life. Indeed, not being able to control my pelvic floor at my age was unthinkable, and neither was surgery with a sling!

What to remember from Fabienne’s testimonial:
- Expertise guiding the choice: As a physiotherapist, Fabienne chose the Emy Trainer device for its active training rather than a passive electrode-based device for her rehabilitation.
- Resolving urinary leaks : Regular practice enabled Fabienne to reduce her leaks in just one month.
- An alternative to surgery: For Fabienne, surgery with a sling was not an option, Emy Trainer helped her avoid it by restoring the muscle function of her pelvic floor in a autonomous.
