Today it’s Sarah, a 29-year-old young mother and regular user of the Emy Trainer probe who agreed to share her experience with us. She completed her perineal rehabilitation with the Emy probe. After an inconclusive rehabilitation experience with a midwife, she began using the Emy probe to relieve your symptoms.
Why did you start taking care of your perineum?
I started perineal rehabilitation with a midwife in January 2018, quite a long time after my first pregnancy which took place in October 2017. I had a drop in the perineum, a loss of tone and every time I had my period my cup exceeded, I didn't have this problem before pregnancy.

So I did perineal rehabilitation with my midwife until June 2018, for 6 months, but I did not no significant improvements observed. I was advised to have surgery to overcome the problem, but at my age, I didn't really want to.
How did you know Emy?
I started looking for alternative solutions to solve my problem, without going through the box operation. I needed another solution, so I started doing a lot of research on the internet. I came across your blog posts on the subject and that's when I discovered the Emy probe and I said to myself that it was worth at least a try.

For what having chosen the Emy connected probe?
What reassured me was that it was made in France and that all medical standards were there. I found it more secure, compared to other probes, which we saw advertised on social networks. The exercises are based on medical protocols And the effectiveness has been clinically tested. These are the main elements that allowed me to decide. And I really don't regret my choice, plus, the delivery was super fast, I couldn't wait to start my exercises!
When did the first results appear?
When I tried the probe, I immediately noticed changes in the tone of my perineum. The results appeared very quickly, from the first sessions. To tell the truth, I was even a little surprised that it was so quick but I no longer had any leaks at all after 2 weeks ! To successfully retain my menstrual cup like before, it took me a little longer. I would say that a few months of regular training were necessary.
How did Emy fit into your routine?
I started using Emy long after my first pregnancy, after rehabilitation with the midwife was not effective. As I saw results quickly, I continued to use it until I became pregnant with my second child. During my pregnancy, I also did exercises without the probe with the “Preparation for childbirth” program to put all the chances on my side.
After my 2nd pregnancy in March 2021, I did not even need to do rehabilitation because my gynecologist pointed out to me that I had a perineum in great shape ! But, for safety reasons and because I didn't want to relive the worries that followed my first pregnancy, I still did my rehabilitation with Emy at home.

I trained at a pace of 5 minutes 3 times a week between July and October 2021. Then, I let go of the exercises a little. But today, as I no longer have problems with urinary leakage, I still use the Emy catheter, but less than before.
I do a slightly longer session (between 10 and 15 minutes) per week or every two weeks for prevention. But as soon as I feel that my perineum is relaxing, I increase the frequency of sessions until I feel comfortable again.
How do you describe Emy?
There are lots of games, personalized programs, it’s really fun and above all, super practical ! You can do your exercises whenever you want, no need to think and organize too much to look after the children for example. I like to do my sessions in the evening, when they are in bed, before going to sleep. It's a little my moment just for me of the day!
Another point that I find very interesting with the Emy solution is that the‘app evolves regularly. With the latest updates from the Emy application, I saw that there was lots of new content and programs available.
I recently started doing yoga classes. I have already done it three times to relieve and prevent back pain. It was super effective for me! To conclude, I am really delighted and I recommend the Emy probe to those around me because it was a very good experience for me!
