Going through a first organ prolapse at 42
Hello Eve, could you start by introducing yourself to the Emy community?
Of course, my name is Eve, I’m 62 years old, and I’ve been retired for a year. I have 3 children aged 29 and 30. After having my first child, we were lucky enough to have twins not long after! As you can imagine, my pelvic floor was put to the test after these births…
Since when have you had pelvic floor problems?
It all started when I was 42, the age at which I had a severe organ prolapse. This led to surgery that required the placement of a mesh, and the removal of my ovaries and uterus. This operation gave me peace of mind for 20 years.
What happened next?
Following an illness related to my thyroid, I had to start treatment. I feel that this treatment may have triggered a new prolapse (but that’s only a guess). It was difficult for me to accept another organ prolapse. I was therefore followed by a physiotherapist for 15 training sessions. The goal was to strengthen my pelvic floor and try to avoid another operation as much as possible. It was after these sessions that I discovered Emy Trainer!

How did you discover Emy Trainer, exactly?
I simply tried several apps, and yours was the one that convinced me the most. Using the free app without the device was already very effective.

Thanks to my physio sessions, I knew how to properly contract all the pelvic floor muscles. These exercises without the device were already very satisfying.
And when did you decide to buy the device?
I really loved your free app! I told myself that the least I could do was buy your device to go further with my pelvic floor recovery. Honestly, I can’t thank you enough! Thanks to the device, I was able to avoid a second operation, and that’s absolutely amazing.
How did your training sessions go once you received the device?
I thought it was amazing! It’s funny, for something that should be tedious, so honestly WELL DONE. You know, I tell all my friends about it! And I’m getting the best of both worlds: I’m having fun and I know I’m training to avoid the effects of heaviness, urinary incontinence, a prolapse…
And how do you feel since using Emy Trainer?
I sometimes wear a pessary (a device that supports the cervix and organs), but I no longer have any urine leaks since using Emy Trainer. At first, I did 3 five-minute sessions every day, and now 5 minutes every 2 days. I don’t plan to stop; I’m so afraid of having another organ prolapse that I don’t want to stop using Emy Trainer anymore!

Have you talked about it with healthcare professionals?
The surgeon I met during my second organ prolapse encouraged me to keep using Emy Trainer. When I return to France, I’ll get back in touch with my physiotherapist and tell her about Emy Trainer. Thanks to these physio sessions, I finally understood how to contract my pelvic floor.

A little update one year after gathering Eve’s testimonial!
Oh, I’m still so happy with this app, which has truly changed my life and helps me every day. I keep training very regularly... In any case, thank you again. I hope you’re enjoying the success you deserve, and I don’t hesitate to talk about you to people around me! Even if for now I n’have unfortunately sponsored anyone yet .

What you should remember from Eve’s testimonial
Support with prolapse after surgery : Eve’s story is a reminder that the progress of a prolapse needs ongoing follow-up; having had an initial surgery does not mean you can stop strengthening the support muscles later on — quite the opposite.
The benefits of pelvic floor training : While muscle training did not make her organ prolapse disappear, her active pelvic floor training helped her relieve her symptoms and reduce her daily urine leaks.
Independence at the heart of the routine : By building a regular habit at home, Eve found a practical solution to maintain her pelvic floor tone in the long term and get back to hiking with confidence thanks to the pelvic floor trainer Emy Trainer.
