Joana tagged us on Instagram to tell us that she was very happy with the Emy pelvic floor trainer. A mum of 3, she had urinary incontinence problems, and Emy helped her. She was happy to share her story with us and talk about her experience with pelvic floor training.
The key points from Joana’s journey:
- A tailored at-home solution: Her choice of an independent, fun method to overcome the lack of time and the discomfort of traditional training sessions.
- Quick results on incontinence: A reduction in urinary leaks was seen from the very first week of using the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer.
- A commitment to awareness-raising: Greater awareness of the importance of maintaining your pelvic floor to reduce the risk of pelvic organ prolapse.
We’ll let you discover her story!
Introducing and discovering Emy
Hello, my name is Joana and I’m 33 years old. I’m the happy mum of 3 children aged 8, 6, and the youngest, who is 10 months old.
I discovered Emy thanks to Instagram on @pinupmom_. I liked the product straight away because I didn’t have the motivation to go and do my pelvic floor training, I didn’t want anyone to touch me, and I didn’t really have the time.
That’s what motivated me to buy the Emy pelvic floor trainer. I thought the idea of being able to do my training at home whenever I’m available and in a fun way was absolutely brilliant.
Pelvic floor training with the Emy pelvic floor trainer
Training was essential in my case because becoming a mum had also caused me significant urinary leaks.
In addition, the device is very easy to use and clean.
My training with Emy is going well; I’ve been using it for a few weeks. I’ll admit it took me a while to get started, and although I’m not very regular, I saw spectacular results from the very first week because I no longer had any leaks.
Pelvic floor health, let’s talk about it!
I think pelvic floor health is still a taboo topic, especially urinary leaks. As for me, I have no problem talking about it. It’s part of life for all mums, and being able to find a solution is simply essential for getting back to a peaceful feminine life.
I also think there isn’t enough discussion about the risk of pelvic organ prolapse. And the same goes for the fact that it’s important not to wait until your pelvic floor becomes weakened. We all know that « prevention is better than cure » and I’m going to keep using it. Even without the pelvic floor trainer, the exercises are possible thanks to the app that lets you do your training wherever you want and without the trainer, even if I obviously prefer using it because I can see my pelvic floor’s progress in real time.
Thank you so much for having the brilliant idea to create this device, which for me is now part of my everyday life.
What to take away from Joana’s testimony:
- Priority to personal comfort: At-home training helps remove the barriers linked to modesty and mums’ busy schedules.
- Biofeedback effectiveness: Real-time visualisation of your efforts via the Emy app encourages consistency and provides clear tracking of pelvic floor tone.
- Awareness is essential: Talking openly about issues such as postpartum incontinence, the risk of prolapse and many other topics is fundamental to women’s well-being.
