« Heureusement que j’ai Emy Trainer pour ma rééducation à domicile ! »

« Fortunately, I have Emy Trainer for my rehabilitation at home! »

Many women don’t necessarily have the time to do their pelvic floor training with a healthcare professional. Lack of time, motivation or too much organisation to plan for, training sessions can sometimes be difficult for women with very busy schedules. That’s one of the reasons Fizimed wanted to develop the connected Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer, to help so many women train their pelvic floor at home and without constraints! We’ll let you read Julie’s* testimonial, for whom the device was a huge help.

The key points of Julie’s journey:

  • Postpartum disrupted by lockdown: after a vaginal birth with forceps-assisted vacuum extraction, the vital need to strengthen her pelvic floor ran up against the impossibility of seeing someone in person.
  • Choosing independence with Emy Trainer: faced with a packed schedule due to returning to work and managing two children, this active young mum chose the connected Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer to train at home.
  • Fast, concrete physical benefits: after just two weeks of use, an improvement in tone and a noticeable reduction in the feeling of pelvic heaviness when walking were felt.

A schedule that’s hard to manage

Can you introduce yourself and explain why you started using Emy Trainer?

I’m 29 and I gave birth 3 weeks before lockdown, via vaginal delivery with vacuum extraction. My pelvic floor is very weak. I’m sporty (I run) and my pelvic floor training couldn’t start for a very long time because lockdown happened during my maternity leave, then I went back to work with a baby and a teenager at home. So I decided to buy your Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer to get started on my own.

Train your pelvic floor with Emy Trainer

How has your pelvic floor training with Emy Trainer gone?

My pelvic floor training with Emy Trainer is going well and is still ongoing. I sometimes have signal loss, but I think the concept is really great and effective!

When did you notice the first effects of the Emy Trainer pelvic floor trainer on your pelvic floor?

I noticed changes after just two weeks of use: I got better scores in the exercises and I felt less heaviness in my pelvic floor when I walked.

Let’s break the taboos around urinary incontinence!

Do you think enough is said about urinary incontinence?

Even though I’m not affected by urinary incontinence, I don’t think it’s talked about enough. However, childbirth is an opportunity to discover that many women are affected. And let’s not even talk about our grandmothers or women in certain countries for whom pelvic floor training isn’t even offered!

The women we meet often tell us that Emy Trainer is too expensive…

I think the trainer is still aimed at people who can afford it. It’s a shame it can’t be prescribed and reimbursed, at least in part, by social security.

… What do you think?

Personally, I don’t see when I’d have the time to go to the midwife or the physiotherapist for my training with the pace of life I have, which is also the reality for so many women… Fortunately, I have Emy Trainer to do my training at home!

What to remember from Julie’s testimonial:

  • The importance of active rehabilitation after childbirth: Even with a very busy schedule, regular muscle strengthening remains essential to restore tone to a pelvic floor weakened by the use of a vacuum extraction device.
  • The effectiveness of biofeedback in just 14 days: In two weeks of exercises with Emy Trainer, Julie managed to improve her contraction scores and drastically reduce her feeling of pelvic heaviness.
  • Less logistical burden for active mums: Being able to train your pelvic floor at home helps you avoid travel constraints and balance intimate health, returning to work and family life with greater peace of mind.
