Many women do not necessarily have the time to do their perineal rehabilitation to a healthcare professional. Lack of time, motivation or too much organization to plan, the sessions can sometimes pose a problem for these women whose schedules are very busy. This is one of the reasons why Fizimed wanted to develop the Emy connected probe, to help these many women strengthen their perineum at home and without constraints! We'll let you read the testimony of Julie* for whom the probe was of great help.
A complicated schedule to manage
Can you introduce yourself and explain to us why you started using Emy?
I am 29 years old and I gave birth 3 weeks before confinement, by low track with suction cup. My perineum is very weak. I am sporty (I run) and my perineal rehabilitation could not start for a very long time due to the confinement which fell during my maternity leave, then the return to work with 1 baby and a teenager at home. So I decided to buy your Emy probe to do it myself.
Re-educate your perineum with Emy
How did your perineal rehabilitation go with Emy?
My perineal rehabilitation with Emy is going well and is still ongoing. I sometimes have signal losses but I think the concept is really cool and effective!
When did you notice the first effects of the Emy probe on your perineum?
I noticed changes after two weeks of use: I had better exercise scores and I felt less heaviness in my pelvic floor when I walked.
Let's lift the taboos around urinary leakage!
Do you think we talk enough about the problem of urinary leakage?
Even though I am not concerned by the urinary leakage, I don’t think we talk about it enough. However, childbirth is an opportunity to discover that many women are victims. And let's not even talk about our grandmothers or the women in certain countries for whom perineal rehabilitation is not even offered!
The women we meet often tell us that Emy is too expensive...
I think that the probe is still aimed at people who can afford it. It's a shame it can't be prescribed and refunded, at least in part, by social security.
…What do you think?
But personally I don't see when I will have time to go to the midwife or the physiotherapist for my rehabilitation with the pace of life that I have, which is also that of many women... Fortunately I have the Emy probe to do my rehabilitation at home!
One last question: Emy in 3 words?
